Embarking on the journey of Umrah is one of the most sacred and fulfilling experiences in a Muslim’s life. However, for me, this pilgrimage was not just a religious act—it became the inspiration for something bigger. The Umrah Companion Cards were born out of my own struggles and realizations during my first Umrah trip, and in this blog, I’ll share the personal story behind them.

My First Umrah Experience

Like many pilgrims, I had always dreamed of going to Makkah, but it wasn’t until I embarked on my first Umrah journey that I truly felt the weight of the experience. I had a lot of questions, uncertainties, and hesitations about the rituals. I didn't want to get them wrong, especially while my family and I were living abroad in Dubai. I needed a resource that could guide me through this spiritual journey with clarity.

Spiritual Growth and Realization

During our trip, I realized there was a gap in the resources available for pilgrims. Most guides simply listed the steps of Umrah without explaining the spiritual significance behind each action. I wanted something that would help me connect on a deeper level with the pilgrimage and truly understand the 'why' behind every act of worship. That’s when the idea of creating the Umrah Companion Cards came to life. These cards would not only guide pilgrims through the steps but also offer profound spiritual insights. I created a set of cards for my wife and me to use, and later we passed them on to a friend who wanted to try them out. She had used many robotic ones before, and the feedback we got from her was amazing.

The Turning Point

Months of research, trials, and feedback from family members led to the birth of the Umrah Companion Cards. After experiencing the benefits of using a guide that explained the meaning behind the rituals, I knew others would benefit from the same experience. I wanted to create something that made the journey more meaningful and accessible for all pilgrims, whether they were first-time travelers or seasoned visitors to Makkah.
